Wenge, part of our rare wood selection, comes from Central African and nick named "death by a thousand needles" due to its splintery nature in raw lumber and the fact that its splinters tend to take longer to heal, but don't be alarmed, Wenge is food safe and finely sanded. Its color tends to be black, but can have a two tone black and light brown appearance.

Its bold white cream color and tight grain pattern is loved my many and used in a wide range of products. Maple trees also comes in two different common disfigurement of Curly Maple or Birdseye Maple that showcases its beauty even more. It lasers exceptionally well.
